Why Studio Health Checks are Essential
Nothing is more embarrassing than opening a project file in front of an artist or client only to see a giant pop-up saying "Warning: 32 Audio Files Missing". This happens constantly when you drag audio samples from your Desktop or Downloads folder into your DAW, and then move or delete those files later.

Where to Find Project Health in the App
- Open the Sabes Pro desktop application.
- Click the Project Health tab in the top navigation bar (or click on your project card and select Run Health Audit).
- Click the blue button: Scan Session Health.
What the Health Inspector Checks
- Audio Sample Integrity: Verifies that every single vocal take, drum sample, and audio recording referenced on your DAW timeline exists at the exact expected path on your hard drive.
- Unlinked External Files: Finds audio clips dragged from outside your project folder (like temporary sample downloads or desktop folders) that could go missing if you move the project to another computer.
- Plugin Dependencies: Scans active VST2, VST3, and CLAP plugins to ensure the necessary 64-bit DLLs are installed on your current workstation.
- Backup Block Health: Runs a quick cryptographic checksum on your local repository to guarantee zero file corruption.
Understanding the Audit Results
When the scan finishes, your project receives an easy color status:
- Green (Healthy & Complete): 100% of audio samples exist inside your project folder, all plugins are verified, and all backup blocks are intact.
- Yellow (Warning / External Links): All audio samples exist, but some are stored outside your project folder (for example, on your Desktop).
- Red (Critical Missing Files): One or more audio files or plugins are missing from your drive.
1-Click Fix: Consolidate External Audio Samples
If Sabes Pro flags yellow external files, you do not have to manually hunt them down:
- Click the button: Consolidate Audio Samples in the health inspector.
- Sabes Pro will safely copy all referenced external samples into your local project audio folder and update the path references automatically.
- Your project is now completely self-contained and ready for archiving, collaborator sharing, or cloud backup.
